During the third quarter of 2023, the Maps and Navigation category saw significant activity on the Android platform in Oceania. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a consistent trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 11K in late June and showing a peak of approximately 13K in the week of September 11. Active user numbers fluctuated throughout the quarter, with a noticeable increase from around 450K in early July to nearly 494K by the end of September.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, beginning at 7.6K at the end of June and peaking at nearly 10K in mid-September. Active users also showed growth, starting at 135K in late June and reaching approximately 146K by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a stable download trend with a notable peak of around 9.4K in early September. The app maintained a steady active user base, with numbers hovering around 79K throughout the quarter.
